What is the Children's ScoreCard?
Approximately every two years since 1994, The Children’s Council has produced the Children’s ScoreCard, a tool to track progress toward improving the lives of children and families in our county. Measuring and tracking data in key areas of child well-being not only calls attention to needed changes, but can help mobilize us to work together to achieve the outcomes we want for children: good health, safety and survival, economic well-being, social and emotional well-being, and education and workforce readiness.
From this page, you can access the current and five previous Children's ScoreCards. These resources can be read online or downloaded as PDF files. Related media articles may also be available.
- Note that the dates assigned to the data in the ScoreCards do not match the ScoreCard publication dates. This is due to the lag time between data gathering and publication. The Children's ScoreCard contains the most up-to-date figures available at the time of publication.
